Parish Office Administrator (Part Time, 12 Hours per Week)
The Hendra-Clayfield Parish is seeking a Parish Administrator to coordinate the parish office and provide administrative support to the Priest-in-Charge and Church Wardens, contributing to the smooth and effective functioning of the parish.
Hendra and Clayfield are neighbouring suburbs in the inner north of Brisbane, located approximately 10 kms to the north/east of the CBD and bordering the suburbs of Ascot and Hamilton. The suburbs are mostly residential, with some commercial areas along main thoroughfares (Sandgate Road). For a long time, there were two separate parishes, but as from 1 January 2002, the parishes merged to form the new Parish of Hendra-Clayfield.
The duties include:
managing hall bookings.
preparing invoices using Xero.
handling banking and bill payments.
preparing parish council agendas and minutes.
and other administrative tasks as needed.
The Parish Council meeting is held every month on a Thursday from 7.30 pm, for approximately two hours, and it is a requirement of the role to attend and take minutes. A full position description is available below.
The part-time rate is $30.00 per hour plus superannuation for ordinary hours.
